Brown Butter Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all purpose flour

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/4 heaping teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 heaping teaspoon cinnamon

  • A pinch of nutmeg

  • 1 1/4 cup rolled oats

  • 1 cup raisins

  • 1/2 cup brown butter, room temperature

  • 3/4 cup brown sugar

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 egg, room temperature

  • 1 tablespoon milk

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven 350 degrees. Line baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

  2. In a bowl add flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Mix well then add rolled oats and raisins. Set aside.

  3. In a separate bowl, combine brown butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar for 3 minutes. Add egg, milk and vanilla extract and blend well.

  4. Add dry flour mix to wet ingredients and blend until fully incorporated.

  5. Scoop dough (I used a 3 tablespoon scoop) out and place on a baking sheet.

  6. Bake the cookies for 11 minutes.

  7. Remove from the oven and let cookies rest for 10 minutes. Enjoy!
