Alex's Breakfast Meatballs

All you need is some type of ground meat and you can have a field day by adding whatever ingredients you like (bacon, scrambled eggs, onions, apples, etc). They can also be formed into patties for breakfast sandwiches.

BREAKFAST

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground turkey / chicken / beef / pork

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon sage

  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

  • 1/2 teaspoon black ground pepper

  • 3/4 teaspoon ground ginger

  • 1 1/2 teaspoon brown sugar

  • 1 1/2 teaspoon coriander

  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup

  • 1 cup shredded cheese (any kind)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

  2. Line baking sheet with greased parchment paper.

  3. In a small bowl, mix all spices together. Set aside.

  4. In a separate bowl, mix together ground meat, maple syrup, spice mix and shredded cheese.

  5. Form meatballs (1 to 1.5 inches) and place on greased baking sheet.

  6. Bake for 12 minutes, remove from oven and flip meatballs over. Place the meatballs back in the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes.

  7. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let meatballs rest for about 5 minutes. Enjoy!
